NEW PATIO AREA FOR A RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY IN BURTON UPON TRENT

Project Overview:

This project marks our joyous collaboration with a recurring client, whom we had the delight of assisting with an extension in 2022. The current year witnessed a request from the same client for an estimate on the installation of a new patio.

Consultation and Planning:

Given our previous acquaintance with the property, devising the plan was relatively straightforward. A portion of the already present materials, such as paving stones, was repurposed, successfully lowering the overall project expenditure and minimising waste. An hour-long dialogue led to some fresh suggestions being put forward to the client, culminating in a handshake agreement and the commencement of the project.

Execution:

From inception to completion, the project took an efficient span of just under a fortnight – ten days, to be exact. With the ground already prepared for the patio, we immediately initiated the laying of the paving stones.

The total area of coverage extended to approximately 65 square metres. To ensure a firm placement of the slabs, we combined a solution of SBR and cement slurry and applied it to the rear of the slabs to enhance their adhesion to the sand and cement mixture prepared on site. Subsequently, all the slabs were positioned, followed by a two-part resin grouting system mixed to fill the gaps between the slabs.

THE RESULT:

New patio completely transformed the back garden of our customer, giving the house a sizeable area for relaxation and also added value to the property.

The customer was left extremely satisfied, and we were also really pleased with the work we carried out.
